Prime the Coil

Begin by spotting the juice holes on your coil, that’s where the wicking material meets the e-juice. Just put some drops of e-liquid onto the coil, and keep doing so until it won’t hold any more liquid. Once you’re done, it’s time to add the coil to the device.

Use Quality E-Liquids

Typically, low-cost e-liquids use lots of sweeteners, which can damage coils quickly. The sweeteners tend to caramalise and end up destroying the vape device’s components including the coil. The sweetener in the liquids can clog up the coil, which will wear out the wicks. What’s more, the coil will have a hard time soaking the juice.

Although even premium liquids use sweeteners, they tend to use a lower amount of sweeteners compared to budget brands.

Clean the Coils Regularly

With usage, the e-liquid will build-up on the coil. The best way to get rid of all that build-up is to clean the coil regularly.

Remove your coil and rinse it using warm water to get rid of all the e-juice residue and gunk. To remove stubborn build-up, soak the coil overnight in vinegar, warm water or even vodka. This will break up the remaining residue.

The next morning, remove the coil and leave it to dry on a towel before inserting it back into your vape device.
